They won the cash playing the "$5,000,000 100X Cashword” scratch-off game. They collected their winnings last week.

M&J Nominee Trust of Boston claimed the prize on behalf of the winner, which allows them to stay anonymous — and avoid awkward dinner conversations about their friend's new app that just needs a little seed money.

They chose to take the lump sum payment of $3.25 million over the annuity.

They bought the winning ticket at Cigars Palace, 319 Woburn St. in Lexington. The store will receive a $50,000 bonus for selling the winner.
